Turn Personal results on or off
Personal results allows your Google Assistant on Google Home to
read private info like your shopping list, calendar and flights, and
help you with tasks like payments.
Note: Personal results must be on to hear any personalized information.
Turn Personal results on or off
- Make sure your mobile device or tablet is connected to the same Wi-Fi as your Google Home device.
- Open the Google Home app
.
- In the top left corner of the Home screen, tap Menu
.
- Verify that the Google Account listed is the one linked to Google Home. To switch accounts, click the triangle to the right of the account name and email address.
- Tap More settings.
- Under "Devices," tap a Google Home device.
- Turn Personal results on
or off
.
Important: You can't turn on a subset of Personal
results, e.g. turn on calendars but not payments. If you turn off
Personal results because you don't want your Assistant to help with
payments, it won’t be able to help with other personal information like
flights, shopping lists, calendars, etc.
